FAQs
Do you accept new patients?
Yes.
Do you accept walk-ins?
NO. West Hills Pediatrics is not a walk-in clinic; we always have multiple same-day sick appointments available daily. All you have to do is call the office at 412-264-6117 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm to schedule.
Do you have an after-hours triage line?
YES, Allegheny Answering service answers all calls between the hours of 5pm and 8am just by calling the office line at 412-264-6117 - however, this line is for EMERGENCIES ONLY. A provider will not call back questions about bug bites, medication refills, scheduling or cancelling a visit, or anything NON?EMERGENT. You will need to call the office during normal business hours.
What Commercial insurance do you accept?
We accept almost all commercial insurance; however, we never know if we are in network with your policy plan, and you will be responsible for calling your insurance to see if West Hills Pediatrics or Theresa Crocenelli is in network.
What PA State INS do you accept?
We participate with UPMC for YOU and Highmark Whole Care.
What PA State INS do you not accept?
Geisinger, AmeriHealth, and Health Partners. When you call, make sure you receive a reference number that you will be required to provide to the office.

on all vaccinations. We allow you to pick and choose what vaccines and when to accept
them, within those specific guidelines of that vaccination. Our vaccine schedule is as

Yes, we will do a meet and greet with the Doctor; those are normally scheduled at 4:30 Monday/Tuesday/Thursday, or Friday.
What do I have to do to establish my newborn with West Hills Pediatrics?
After the baby is born, call the office to register the patient. We will need your insurance information at that time as well. We prefer to see all newborns born in the hospital 2-3 days after going home. If you have a home birth or at the midwife center, we prefer to see those patients the next day.
If we do not vaccinate, do we need to be seen for well visit appointments?
Yes, our office goal is to provide the best possible care to your child from birth to college, and our policy is to provide well visits to all patients regardless of immunization status. These visits follow an established well-child schedule designed to carefully monitor each child’s growth and developmental progress, ensuring they receive comprehensive and attentive care. Missed appointments impede our ability to care for your child, and missed appointments will result in dismissal from the practice.
